"Rudolf Schweitzer Cumpăna" Art Gallery

The "Rudolf Schweitzer Cumpăna" Art Gallery was restored within an extensive European project implemented by the Argeș County Council. Following the restoration works, the building has regained its former shine, becoming a real architectural jewel, which can be admired in the centre of Pitești, near the City Hall. The "Rudolf Schweitzer Cumpăna" Art Gallery has a heritage of over 1000 works of classical and contemporary painting and sculpture. The exhibition includes paintings signed by great artists of the brush, such as Nicolae Grigorescu, Theodor Pallady, Rudolf Schweitzer-Cumpăna, Nicolae Tonitza, Camil Ressu, Stefan Luchian, Ion Țuculescu, Nicolae Dărăscu, as well as sculptures by Gheorghe Iliescu-Călinesti, Radu Aftenie, Ion Iancuț, Grigore Patrichi, Adrian Popovici, Ovidiu Maitec.
