The Moldoveanu Peak – “The Roof of Romania”

More than 60%, which means almost two-thirds of Făgăraș area, as well as the largest part of the peaks of over 2500 metres high, including the Moldoveanu Peak (2544 metres)-the highest mountain peak in Romania (called also the Roof or Romania’s Everest), is located on the territory of Argeș County.
