About

The "Dinu Lipatti" Memorial House in Leordeni is the home where the famous pianist Dinu Lipatti grew up. "My beloved Dinu was so happy every time he would leave for Fundățeanca. What a beautiful land!" is shown in the writings of his mother, Anna Lipatti. The "Dinu Lipatti" Memorial House preserves objects related to the life and activity of the great Romanian pianist and composer. Among the most important exhibits is the Bechstein piano, to which the artist sang and composed during the holidays in the countryside. The keys of the old Bechstein come to life with each edition of Dinu Lipatti Music Prize Laureates Gala – a national festival organized by the Argeș County Museum. In the mansion from Fundățeanca, diplomas, scores, as well as an impressive collection of photos and correspondence can be admired.
