About

The Municipal Museum in Câmpulung preserves an Art Collection with over 600 works belonging to acknowledged artists and the Collection of Natural Sciences, consisting of an exhibition of rocks, fossils, birds and numerous animals exhibited attractively, simulating as much as possible their natural environment. The Ethnography and Folk Art Section of the Municipal Museum in Câmpulung is arranged separately, in a building declared an architectural monument, known as “Gică Ștefănescu” villa. It is the oldest civilian building in Câmpulung. The Ethnography and Folk Art section has in its structure peasant interiors specific to the Muscel area, popular costumes of great diversity, objects characteristic to traditional rural occupations and a rich collection of ceramics.
